Update: ITT Licensing™ receives feedback from Massachusetts-based ASI Show Chicago 2008 lead on initial Innovation Direct™ package; 3 inventions subject of further interest…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, back once more with another Innovation Direct™-related update. Earlier Wednesday, the ITT Licensing™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of a Massachusetts-based company that we had originally met at July’s ASI Show Chicago 2008 received an e-mail from the company’s chief operating officer informing him that 3 inventions from the initial batch he had been sent were subjects of further interest. We had most recently reported on this situation in an August 21st entry (”Update: ITT Licensing™ seeks, receives update from Massachusetts-based ASI Show Chicago 2008 lead regarding initial Innovation Direct™ package…“).

As we’d explained in that posting, our contacts at the company had informed us on that date that they would be providing us with their impressions of the preliminary, non-confidential information they’d recently been sent on 12 product ideas from the ITT roster as soon as they possibly could. We were pleased to see that they complied with their promise rather quickly, and have already sent them a non-disclosure that encompasses all 3 of the concepts they specified via e-mail for signature. Once that is received in return, ITT Licensing™ will be able to provide them access to all of the detailed design information available on each of the inventions.

Update: ITT Licensing™ sends new prototype photos of tool invention to New Hampshire-based manufacturer…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a report on a situation we had most recently reported on in an August 8th entry (”Update: ITT Licensing™ requests, receives update regarding tool accessory from New Hampshire-based Innovation Direct™ company…“). Earlier Wednesday, the ITT Licensing™ representative managing a New Hampshire-based Innovation Direct™ company’s interest in a tool invention from our roster received new prototype photos from the inventor that he wished to have passed along to the manufacturer. As we’d explained in the aforementioned posting, the company has been evaluating the inventor’s concept for several months and is presently waiting on some funding from other business partners in order to proceed to the next step in its development.

The ITT Licensing™ representative promptly passed along the pictures of the sample via e-mail to the company president, and he acknowledged having received them later in the day. We are hopeful that the prototype, which incidentally, the inventor has used for years with great effectiveness, will certainly make a positive impression on the manufacturer.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with another update regarding our continuing follow-ups with companies met at ASI Show Chicago 2008 in July. We are pleased to report that preparations have begun on the initial Innovation Direct™ package for San Ramon, California-based Storus, a manufacturer of “smart personal storage solutions”, as per their official website. The ITT Licensing™ representative that will be managing the company’s Innovation Direct™ account initiated e-mail contact with the Director of Sales, who had been the contact made at the show, late Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, the gentleman responded and reconfirmed his company’s keen interest in reviewing new product ideas on an ongoing basis and emphasized the fact that they are a rapidly growing entity. Accordingly, the aforementioned ITT Licensing™ representative will attempt to have a package of preliminary, non-confidential information on multiple inventions from the roster by the close of business Wednesday, at the latest.

Update: ITT Licensing™ receives closure on 5 inventions from Las Vegas-based Innovation Direct™ company…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, back from the holiday weekend and checking in with our latest Innovation Direct™-related update. Over the weekend, the ITT Licensing™ representative managing the Innovation Direct™ account of a Las Vegas-based infomercial company that has been a part of the program for over a year received an e-mail response to the most recent request for an update he’d made of his contact regarding 6 inventions that had been under review since earlier in the summer. We had most recently reported on this situation in an August 20th entry (”Update: ITT Licensing™ requests update from Las Vegas-based Innovation Direct™ infomercial company regarding 6 inventions under review…“).

As per the e-mail communication received earlier Tuesday, the company has declined any further interest in 5 of the items from the group. Our contact emphasized that although they have determined that those concepts do not fit their current business model, they do see some of them as very good candidates  for “up-sells” to other  products on their roster, and will let us know if they have renewed interest in this regard in the future.
Incidentally, the remaining invention that continues to hold the company’s interest is a specialized cooking accessory that they are presently researching  in terms of manufacturing feasibility and costs.

We are pleased to see that one of the innovations from the batch still has an opportunity to move further, and will continue to update you on this developing situation as warranted. Check in often!

Update: ITT Licensing™ seeks report from manufacturer regarding detailed information sent on personal medical accessory…

Hello once again, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in on a particularly busy Friday. Earlier Friday, ITT Licensing™ sent a follow-up letter to our contact at a New Jersey-based company that had signed a non-disclosure agreement last month for a personal medical accessory from the ITT roster and as a result, had received access to all of the detailed design information available on the invention. We had most recently reported on this situation in an August 1st entry (”Update: ITT Licensing™ receives signed Non-Disclosure and Secrecy Form from New Jersey-based manufacturer regarding medical accessory; access to detailed design information sent…“). This invention incidentally, is the same item that we just reported on in the entry immediately preceding this one on the ITT Blog, a posting which also coincidentally details interest that has been shown in the invention by a different company headquartered in New Jersey.

With almost an entire month having passed since the company that is the subject of this posting was sent access to the detailed information, ITT felt it would be prudent to conduct a follow-up at this point. We remain optimistic that we will receive an update from this company soon and certainly hope they have developed a positive impression of the detailed design information they reviewed. As soon as we do have a glimpse into their intentions we will alert you with the details, here on the ITT Blog. Make this space a frequent stop!

Update: ITT Licensing™ sends follow-up letter and second copy of non-disclosure agreement regarding medical accessory to New Jersey-based manufacturer…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’ s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with another update regarding ITT’s  efforts on behalf of its inventor clients. Earlier Friday, a follow-up letter and second copy of a non-disclosure agreement was sent to our contact at New Jersey-based Inventures, LLC, a manufacturer that we’d originally met at the ASI Show Chicago 2008 last month and that we had most recently reported on in an August 13th entry (”Update: ITT Licensing™ receives response from New Jersey-based ASI Show Chicago 2008 lead; non-disclosure agreement for medical accessory to be returned soon…“).

As we’d explained in that posting, the company’s Director of Operations had updated us via e-mail on that date and informed us that he had been somewhat overwhelmed with his own company’s follow-ups following the ASI Show, but would shortly be returning the non-disclosure agreement we’d sent him in late July on a personal medical accessory to get things started between our companies. With over 2 more weeks having passed since that communication and the signed guarantee of confidentiality still not having been received by ITT, further follow-up clearly was required.

We are certainly hopeful of not only receiving the signed non-disclosure agreement in return for this particular invention, but an indication that the company is prepared for its initial Innovation Direct™ package as well. We will keep you updated as to any developments, here on the ITT Blog. Stay tuned!

Update: ITT Licensing™ sends follow-up letter and second copy of non-disclosure agreement regarding tool invention to Illinois-based company…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in another Friday update. Earlier Friday, ITT sent a follow-up letter and second copy of a non-disclosure agreement to an Illinois-based tool products manufacturer that had recently requested more information on an ITT Licensing™ inventor’s product idea. We had initially reported on this situation in a July 28th entry (”ITT Licensing™ inventor’s tool item sparks initial interest from Illinois-based company…“).

As we’d explained in that posting, the company had requested more details on the invention after having received and reviewed preliminary, non-confidential information on the concept. As customary, the ITT Licensing™ representative managing the situation had sent the manufacturer a non-disclosure agreement for signature, in order to be able to eventually grant them access to all of the detailed design information available on the idea. With a month having passed without the signed guarantee of confidentiality having been returned, the follow-up became a necessity.

We are certainly still hopeful of being able to work with this company further in regards to the invention. Check back often with the ITT Blog for the latest on this situation!

Update: ITT Licensing™ prepares and sends initial Innovation Direct™ package to golf accessories manufacturer met at ASI Show Chicago 2008…

Good day, Juan C. Blanco, ITT’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update for a Friday. We are pleased to report that an initial Innovation Direct™ package consisting of preliminary, non-confidential information on 11 golf-related product ideas from the ITT roster has been prepared and sent to our contact at Birdie Ball, Inc., a Wheat Ridge, Colorado-based manufacturer that we had originally met at ASI Show Chicago 2008 last month. We had most recently reported on this company in a July 31st entry (”Update: ITT Licensing™ sends additional follow-up e-mails to ASI Show Chicago 2008 leads…“).

As we’d explained previously, the representative we’d met during the show had provided us with the business card of one of the company principals and explained he was the contact person for any new product idea submissions to the company. A follow-up e-mail had been sent to the designated company contact shortly after the show had concluded, and the ITT Licensing™ representative that will be managing this company’s Innovation Direct™ account had also taken the extra step yesterday of placing a phone call to him in order to alert him that the first batch of ITT Licensing™ inventor product ideas would be on its way shortly via e-mail.

We now await our contact’s feedback regarding which items appear to be of more interest and will certainly bring you the details of their impressions, here on the ITT Blog. Check back often!
